Senegal

Senegal, the most westerly African state, lies between Mauritania to the north, Mali to the east, and Guinea and Guinea-Bissau to the south. The Gambia almost divides Senegal in the south. The capital, and largest city, is Dakar which lies on the Cap-Vert peninsula, the westernmost point of continental Africa. French is the official language, although Wolof is the most widely spoken language.
